I am new to the forum and new to smoking meat. I have grilled for years, but I have never owned a smoker. I just ordered a Brinkmann Deluxe Cimaronn Wood/Charcoal/Propane grill & smoker. It should be delivered in a couple of weeks. I hope I have made a good choice, so if any of you have one of these, I would appreciate any good, bad, or otherwise comments or tips. If this forum is like others I have belonged to, the members are very helpful. As a newbie, I will be depending on all of you for advice and assistance. Thanks again.

Welcome to the SMF CamperCop. I'm glad to seen another Brinkman owner here on the board. I think you'll really like that Cimaron offset. I have the Stillwater and I'm not sure what the differences are between the two. Mines a 16" model and yours might be a 20". You'll really like cooking with the 1/4" steel smoker. Really holds the heat in and the recovery times are very fast. Check out the Charcoal Smoker page for mods. Enjoy your stay and if you have any questions just ask. BTW, make sure to post up pics of your new toy when you get it.

Thanks for all the nice welcomes. I am not familiar with smokers, but I do know the one I have ordered is 1/4" thick w/3 sections: firebox on left end, cooking area in the middle, and high output propane burner on the right. It also has a propane burner in the firebox to start the charcoal or wood.

Welcome to the SMF, and congrats on ordering your new smoker!

Welcome to the forum, hope you stick around for a while and share your furure smokes with us!
