I've been browsing through these forums and have learned more in 2 hours than I have in the 10 years I've been smoking with my ol' my old side-box smoker... Just recently bought a Masterbuilt 30" electric because I'm SO TIRED of baby sitting all day with a brisket. I hope I can get the same results without sitting around all day stoking the wood and charcoal. I also love to smoke salmon and pork-with an occasional turkey. I change my rubs to suit my moods. Any suggestions by all you top-notch pitmasters would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Welcome Smokingk!
You switched sides huh? lol!! I kinda enjoy the babysitting part...sometimes! it does seem that being able to set it and split would be cool too...you will find so many creative, inspirational peeps in here..you will be amazed, and you will make some incredible friends too!! enjoy!

You will love it. It also serves as a holding oven saving you the cooler part.
