Hi Everybody,

Ive been intereseted in smoking since my cousin (actually my cousins husband) cooked Christmas dinner (Turkey, ribs, sausage) on his ECB last year. I decided that propane best fit my needs and have been reading all the reviews on the board for the past few days in anticipation of my purchase. I initially wanted the GOSM that everyone speaks so highly of but after having a difficult time locating one I went ahead and purchased the similar Chef Camper Smoke Vault this afternoon. I just assembled it early this evening and currently have it "seasoning" as I type. I really appreciate all of the great info that the experts here provide and look forward to smoking some amazing food beginning on Thursday afternoon!!!! Ill be sure to post some pics. Im really looking forward to enjoying my new hobby.

The smell of hickory wood is wafting thru the room right now!

Welcome to the site. Once you become addicted, look for a local MSA (Meat smoking anonymous) meeting in your area. You can usually find them by the scent of tbs in the air. I suggest you get there early to enjoy ABT's, smoked buffalo wings, smoked shrimp ect... Then, after the meeting everyone stays for smoked brisket, butt, and fatties and tries to figure out why the meetings aren't working.
