Looks like it would be good for cold smoking but not sure about regular bbq'g. Anyone got one?

Until I got my big block, I used one with limited success. Using it for cold smoking or regular smoking may not be the issue. The main issue seems to be the fact that it is hard to keep it burning for more than a few minutes. The pellets don't always fall downward as the design would imply. The valve that controls the amount of smoke seems to work ok, but the burn just gets smothered out too often. I played with this unit for a long time, so I feel that I can comment on its usefullness. I would have reservations about recommending this unit. Good luck with whtever you do.

Thats it I thought it would be great for cold smoking but if it didn't work right that would be a bummer and lots of frustration
