HI everyone My name is Chris, I live in Northern Indiana.
I have long enjoyed smoked meats and finally got a smoker of my own.
I got a Smoke Hollow electric. electric because I live in the city and don't have readily accesable wood.
I will primarilly be smoking pork lion, briskets, and fresh caught salmon and trout (lake michigan)

I have lots of questions regarding smoking especially electric but I will post them in their respective forums....

Hello Chris, Welcome to SMF. I'm not an electric guy, but they DO seem to be the choice for fish, the Jensen Li'l Chief is a time honored unit for that. Many here use a watt-burner..they'll be along with helpful tips and knowledge soon!

Welcome to SMF. Lots of good folk here that want to help you on your journey into the addiction of smoke cooking, and yes it is an addiction. Ask all the questions you want ( remember there is no dumb questions here) someone will have the answer for you. Enjoy your new hobby and remember if you eat your mistakes no one will ever know.

Chris welcome to SMF. There are alot of people using electric smokers and turning out some great Q. You will find lots of good info and some tasty recipes here. Good Luck and Happy Smoking

Welcome Chris. The electric is a great way to start and stay for that matter. Less work. Produces decent meats. Good luck.

Chris' welcme to the SMF! Check in often and show off your smokes! We love the Q-view!

Glad to know you're part of the SMF Chris.
