Thanks for all the suggestions in my other thread without you guys I couldn't have turned out my first two successful smokes!
I did these Sat. and reheated for Sunday's meal. Both Rubbed with Jeff's, couldn't tell a big difference w/ the rub on the butts. I used Soflaquer's sauce on one butt and Mike Mill's Apple City on the other...the ladies liked the sweeter Apple City Sauce...The men preferred the Soflaquer's. Go figure!
The ribs were in the smoker for 3 hrs at 250. Poor planning allowed me to run out of time...Foiled and put the ribs in the oven at 250 for 1.5 hrs. They could've went for the full two hours...tender with good pull back but 30 minutes longer would have made them dandy. They had a good bite but not tough. Next time 3-2-15 on grill. I prefer them to slide instead of fall off the bone.
Ribs onto the grill to dry up and put Sweet Baby Rays on to finish. Very good. Used Jeff's Rub on the Ribs and it was great, much better than the butt...Couldn't tell a huge difference with the butt.
Again, Thanks for all the suggestions and help!
