This brings closure to yesterday's smoke (http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/for...ad.php?t=18537)

Got finished last night around 2:00 am, completing 15.5 hours. Wrapped in towels, threw in the cooler and passed out! Woke up at 8:00 this morning, fiddled around cleaning up the kitchen to mess it up again. Pulled out the butts at 9:00 and they were still too hot to handle - 7 hours in the cooler!

Opened one at a time, collected the juices, and pulled.

Here's some tender butts!
 
All the bones came out easy and this clean!


This is about 2 cups of juices. Let the fat come to the top, turkey baster to get the good stuff from the bottom and put all the juice in the pulled pork
 
Filled the big foil pan! Got 15.17 pounds prepared from 30.77 pounds of raw.


Here's 20 hours of sweat I won't have to do on 3 July! Vac-packed in 2 lb paks, heat and serve on 4 July! 7 bags, saved the single pound for my munchies!


Now to the pool to do nothing for the rest of the day!

Yes Sir! Gonna do nothing the rest of the day! I'm out of freezer room, or I'd stock up. I can usually get butts on the air base for under a buck a pound...

Thanks Bro! Last 4 July, I was smoking turkey legs in the garage after the downpour hit. I'll only be making sides this year on party day!

those look great, nice to not have to worry about much on party day, now you can watch everyone else run around. I was wondering if anyone else did that turkey baster trick.
