I now don't have to keep buying small bags of wood from stores anymore. A friend of my brothers is a tree man and sells wood. Five miles from my house too. What luck. I got this load today for the smoker. From the front to the tailgate, OAK..just split needs to cure a bit, Cherry, Pecan, and Hickory. I'm ready to burn!

I payed 100 bucks for the load. He said a load with mixed woods like this would be closer to 200. I dunno anything about the price of wood. What I do know is that I would pay way more than a 100 bucks going to the hardware store/Home Depot. My truck bed is a 6 foot one and the load is about 4 inches from level. I already have the ribs and ground chuck for the fattie defrosting :)
