Citrus Spritz?

I don't recal reading any posts where someone used a citrus juice for a spritz. I've been using Jim Beam and apple juice but was thinking about trying pineapple juice with coconut rum on this weekend's butt. Will this give me enough sugar to create a bark and has anyone else tried something like this?

I have used the pineapple, but not with the rum. The pineapple juice worked out well.
 
You don't need to spritz with anything to get bark. Don't let that hold you back.

Go for it, you just might find a new flavor you can't live without
 
Very true Joe. I did know that actually . I guess I just got my wording wrong. I think I'll give it a try. I don't expect it to give a lot of extra flavor to a 9.5 lb butt. But hey, the fun of cooking is experimenting with new things right?

I have used both apple and pinnapple juice and have also mixed in Cap't Morgan Run and also tried Jack Daniels, Use your imagination, the possibilities are endless. I am going to try a dark rum next time and see what happens. Try and post some Q-View. GOOD LUCK!
