Just finished slicing 31 lbs. of certified angus ribeyes. At $4.45 /lb. I think I got a pretty sweet deal. Only got 29 steaks though ( yeah I know. Theyre kinda small. ) They are all vacume packed and tucked safely into the freezer. Well except for 3 that are about to hit the grill. YUM!

Not a bad deal at all !!!

Did you save some for a nice, smoked prime rib roast?

great price on the ribeyes.......

WOW!!
What a deal....
I would be stoking the freezer too...set some aside for me, around here it is rapidly getting to the point of do I EAT or DRIVE to work?? (my nimbus 2008 is getting repaired) LOL!

good timing, I too just stocked up my freezer! I went in with my brother and bought half a cow from a ranch in central oregon and it just came back from the butcher. 202 lbs hanging... I now have more than enough rib roasts, t-bones and everything else to keep me happy for a long time! Can't wait to get this stuff into the smoker.

Ribeyes are the absolute best! I just bought a whole ribeye a few weeks ago for about $50 (can't remember poundage). Did the same thing though... cut up about 17 nice 1" thick steaks, vacuum sealed them for the freezer and kept two out for dinner that night. My absolute favorite way to cook a ribeye:

Simply marinate in Lawry's Teriyaki w/ Pineapple for 30 minutes to an hour (at room temperature)

Remove steaks and sprinkle with salt and fresh cracked pepper

Sear and grill with lump charcoal and a small handful of hickory chips!!

Cook to medium only flipping them once..... quite possibly the worlds best steak IMHO. Waiting for whole beef tenderloins to go on sale and the next time ribeyes are on sale, going to save a chunk for some smoked prime rib!!!!
