the little chief smokers were originally put out by luhr-jensen, but it seems they are calling themselves smokehouse products now. same company, different name?
anyway, i'd been having troubles with my little chief and wrote to amy in customer service about it. right away on the same day, she offered to replace my entire smoker box and also the electric cord since the problem with my old one melted the plug in the cord a bit where it connects to the smoker. i also had bought one of their sausage kits and it was missing the recipe/instruction book, and she threw that in as well.
some folks might say that it's just an example of a cmpany doing what it should do, but i must admit that i was very impressed with the speed and the ease of the process. i'd like to recognize luhr/jensen/smokehouse for this and thank them for such good service!
