Hi I'm From Illinois. I Have A New Smokey A Mountain Smoker.

How Long Do I Season The Smoker. I Have Apple, Cherry And Hickory Wood.

This Is The First Time We Have Purchased A Smoker.

i seasoned my gosm biggie for about 2.5 hours at 300 to 350 degrees..first rub it down with some veggie oil or olive or pam then light her up and bring it to temp and let all the nasties burn off a while and then throw in a fattie or 2 no sense wasting a hot smoker

Welcome to the SMF Bernadette......glad to have you on board. Most smokers only need about 2.5-3 hours to season. Just coat the inside good with oil (a spay is the easiest) and get the heat up. Remember to have fun....it's not rocket science.
