Hi all. Just moved to Las Vegas, I'm from Kansas City. Cant find good Q here so i'm going to have to do it myself. As far as status. Just starting. I think i'm going to get the walmart $80 smoker with side firebox and barrel style smoke box. Any one from around the area. I would appreciate info on good meat stops and whatnot! Thanks for having an awsome forum!

Welcome to the SMF, to both of ya's!

I was a complete newb to this wonderful hobby early this year and this place has helped me tremendously!! Sign up for the 5-day free eCourse offered by Jeff, the host of SMF. The stuff he provides you with are the essentials with smoking meat and it's extremely easy to follow.

Here's a link to sign up:

Good luck and don't be afraid to throw out those questions!

Hey Mikevoch...welcome to the forum. Sounds like you'll be buying a Chargriller with SFB. Do a search for Chargriller mods to see the options you have to really rev up your smoker. tons of stuff.
Oh, and don't forget the Q-view (pictures of your before/after results). We all love Q-view!

Welcome to the SMF. I don't know of any good Q joints in Las Vegas, if you're in Laughin stop at the Colorado Belle; they have a good Q place upstairs.

Welcome to the smf..................Lots of great people that will help you here............Just search threads or ask and someone will have an answer for you................

Sorry to be so late in saying WELCOME! Been real busy lately, not a lot of chances to bounce around the forum. Think you're gonna like it here!

Welcome!
Some summer days in Vegas your not even going to need to start a fire!!
LOL!!
I am in So Cal and the thing I am finding the hardest to find is GOOD Lump charcoal, good luck with that! I think on this side of the country they ship us the leftovers from the good stuff...I used cowboy over the weekend, and it looked like the 4th of July it sparked so much!

Welcome to the forum. There are lots of friendly folks around here with tons of knowledge and ideas. Just browse through the threads and check out anything that catches your eye. Be sure to throw your two cents in anytime you can. Good luck creating your own KC style Q out west.
