Here's a few pics of the BigBaby in progress.....I'm going to have a 6 inch exhaust stack with damper on the right side of the smoke box. I'll also have a diffuser in the bottom of the smoke box to distribute the smoke and heat evenly. A couple questions......when I season this thing, do I use split logs directly into it or is it better to burn them down in a burn barrel first to coals then throw them in? Also, when I season, do I run it wide open or "low and slow"? I've read where this thing can go from 185 to 400 degrees.
Thanks

Looks great Nick, keep us posted, please.

Looks good Nick. Going to be quite some fire area ya got.
I would use split logs and keep the temp down to 250 and keep it on longer. Do you have a grate inside the burn drum? I like the legs and damper system.
Keep us posted.

Geob, I don't know whether to lay fire bricks in it, or a grate, or both. So far I've seen one lined with fire bricks and one with a grate with a gas assisted fire starter!
