Nice Bubba - Keep them pix coming in! Let us know how you like that pecan wood (pee-can wood??)

Dang I been trying to lay in a supply of pee-can for months... Hickory I got... can't seem to get connected with a good <read cheap-homesplit> supply yet. I will tho :{)

Rich, have you got a Food Pyramid (used to be called Albertsons) there locally? Around here they stock big bags of Pecan splits/logs (as well as Hickory and Mesquite. They don't have Pine though.

). If you don't, I'll check and see what it would cost to ship you some from here.

Bubba, I forgot to mention that it appears your smoke is going great. I really like those drum smokers. I still have every intention of building one.

Got mine in a wood trade , Cherry for Pecan!

$9.95 gets ya a USPS flat rate box full of chunked wood, ends up about 15# in the box, not a bad deal when ya cant get a certain wood type in your area!

About 6 hrs in, beef at 170*, into a pan and foiled.....

Girls wanted a stuffed fattie, sauted some peppers and onion, added some Jack cheese and rolled in bacon...

Also threw on some Jalapeno/chedder sausage...

Bubba - those are great looking fatties, it's almost like a candy-cane fatty! Nice work on all the grub, thanks for the q-vue!

AWESOME!!!! That's what I like to see, a back-up plan successfully placed into action.

Points for the umbrella being color-coordinated with the smokers
