Looking to get a new charcoal smoker in the $100 and under range
Have been eyeballing the brinkman square vertical....

anyone have suggestions?

That's a hard one to answer...everyone has their favorite.
I have a vertical brinkman.....the two door style....and have had great luck with it.

yup a hard 1-ECB's UDS's homeaid with block heck theres so many-if you went to $200 you have a better option.
 
I have the Brinkmann Vertical as well.

You will need to modify the charcoal pan for better burn. But that is case with almost every smoker on the market. Keyword...ALMOST.

I use the wok pan pictured below when I use charcoal.



You will want to line the bottom of the smoker with foil for easier cleanup as the ash falls through the holes.
 
Hey Invader would it be possible to get the plans for your UDS? I have been looking for them but can't find them here. So many people here have built them and so many people at the competitions have them, everybody likes them. I thought I might just go ahead and build one foe me.
