Well, My wife told me the week before easter that she wanted to have her family over for lunch after Church. I thought "ok, that would be fine" . Then she said I could smoke something for them. --"Hmm that's even better. bringem over." As long as I get to smoke somethin i don't care who comes over

. So I smoked up a Farmaland Spiral cut ham and some of Dutch's beans. Oh, and some brats for myself. Man that was some good stuff. I liked smoking the spiral cut ham because it was jsut easier for the smoke to get into it. Then glazed it with the pre-packaged stuff. Reheated it Sunday morning before church in the crockpot. It all was a big hit with the fam. My mother-in-law doesn't like beans a whole lot but she loved these. Here are a few pics. I didn't get any after the fact because I just didn't have time but this gives you the idea.
I also made a modification to my smoker. The opening between the firebox and the cooking chamber was just too darn big (about 6"x6"). So i took off the fire box and moved it down then covered the openings with a few peices of sheet metal I found laying around my dad's house. Now the opening is about 1"x6". SOOOO much better. I can actually use the whole surface of the grates now. I might actually go back and install a tuning plate over the whole thing to make it even better. Anyway here are a few pics of the ordeal.

Here is the grub!

The next 2 are the mods. If you look at my sig you can see the way it was before.
