Lookin forward to being a first time smoker. I have been using charcoal and high heat for years. After reading being on this board for days and reading all of the helpful posts, I have decided to pick up a smoker today. The GOSM.

So thank you everyone for being so kind and informative.

Hey there! good to see another Torontonian on this forum.

I actually braved the cold and snow this morning and fired the smoker up for the first time in 08.

nothing like a crisp winter morning and the scent of smoke in the air.

dc: First welcome aboard, glad to have you! I just bought a propane GOSM this weekend and smoked two pork loins and some turkey legs. Was very happy with the smoker and the results, easy unit to use, especially if you have a busy lifestyle.

Besure to ask any questions you have, lots of friendly helpfull folks on this board!

DC welcome to smf. Be sure to check out the free 5-day ecourse as it is very helpful. the GOSM is a nice propane smoker also as I enjoy mine. Remember ther are no stupid ?'s and remember patience is a virtue when smokin!!!!!!!!!!
