Wife brought home this 8.5 lb bottom round sirloin tip roast. I haven't done a whole lot of beef on the smoker, mostly pork butts and ribs, ABT's etc. Any suggestions on this? I thought about doing it like a pork butt, but I'm not sure.

cook it like a prime rib, as far as temps are concerned............just remeber carry over heat.....

or like a brisket, and try the smokie-okie method
by searing first.........then take it to temp........maybe a nice rub..........

Thanks for your advice. I decided to cut it in half and oven roast half and smoke other half.
