saturday i was smoking a 5 pound brisket and had a sharp knock at the door. turned out it was the fire department thinking there was a fire in the area. on of my neighbors apparently called them. when i explained the situation to my neighbors and gave them a sample, they asked where they could get a smoker because it was sooo good. that is the problem of smoking in the city. now i leave a sign on the door when i am somking meat. anyone else have this problem?

Yeah, and prolly angling for a little sample, too.....

My neighbors definitely smell it and I have provided samples. They don't stop over unannounced yet. I expect that this summer as I do this more and more.

Not anymore, my neighbors have pretty much gotten used to the perpetual smoke comin from my place. Just told em, if it smells good don't worry about it, if it smells like shingles call the fire department!
