Hey all, after a 2 month hiatus the weather finally broke 60 today. So having not smoked for a while I brined a slab of pork and some chicken breasts last night. Then rubbed with Jeffs, this time I put some honey on the ribs prior to smoking. The menu is;

Pork ribs 3-2-1 smoked

Chicken breasts smoked

Scalloped potatoes with balsamic carmelized onions and havarti/cheddar.

Homemade lavender infused white chocolate chip ice cream

No plans for any green vegetables

Sounds and looks like a godd quality smoke after being away from it for a while. But what are you talking about 60º, I fired the smoker up this morning at 8º for 4 pork butts and 4 batches of Dutch's Wicked Smoked Beans and right now it is 21º outside. You should be able to smoke year around !!!

By the way, I like the wheels on your MES. Did you just mount wheels to it, or is it on a dolley type cart? I need to do that to mine.

K5YAC, looks like your from OK also, hope your enjoying this nice weather!!!

Mossy, I love to smoke, but I also love to cook a lot of other foods, so when its cold I'm usually indoors cooking stews, French cooking, Indian, Japanese etc... I love to be on the back patio with a beer or glass of wine watching the smoker on warmer days!
I bought those casters at Westlake hardware, they were like $4-$5 a piece and the threads were perfect for the Smoker and yes it works great on the patio, when I'm done I just roll it away.
I've attached a pic of my kitchen (I do love to cook & eat!)

That is one nice kitchen, the banquet of my eyes!

Damn nice grub. And holy cra........... batman...... Thats a damn nice kitchen..... Some serious cooking going on there.

And I will have to second what Mossy said about smoking year around. I haven't stopped smoking yet. Granted it was alittle nicer here to day then it was for Mossy's side of the state. 34 degrees right now and I think it was warmer earlier today.

Yep, over here in the NE part of the state, just a few miles north of Tulsa. The weather was indeed nice today, but we never did get any of that sunshine they forecasted. Looks like you guys had plenty down by OKC.

Sorry, did not mean to turn this thread into a kitchen thread!
Well the ribs and chicken is finished.
Here we go.
