Hello everyone!! My name is Ben, and I'm happy to finally have a place to discuss smoking! I'm pretty new at the game, I've been doing it for about 4 years, and I still learn new stuff all the time. I started out by smoking on a regular charcoal grill via indirect smoking, but eventually moved up. I had a stand up model of a smoker (the box style with a front loading door), but I couldn't seem to get a good temperature with it. And now I own a Chargriller model 2424 with the side fire box. I'm very happy with this model, it makes regulating the temps a breeze. And, besides, compared to the box style it's huge!! I do a lot of outdoor cooking for my friands and family, and everyone loves to come over for my "cookouts". I'm always looking for new recipes, and I hope to eventually have some knowledge that I can share with all of you!
