Hello there, welcome to the SMF. Don't feel bad about using a Weber, most of us still have/use one every now and then. It's all good my friend, so enjoy The New Year!

Welcome ot SMF !!!
It appears the King Kooker is unheard of by mostof us? If you are able, post some pics of the smoker.
As far as the learning curve goes, signing up for and posting on SMF will get you off to a great start. Other than that all I can suggest is read alot of posts, ask alot of questios and maybe look at some modifications others have made to their gas gosm.
Smoking is addictive, but is possibly also the most fun you can have with your clothes on !!!

I googled the King Kooker. It looks like a nice pice of equipment. I am an offset stick/charcoal smoker myself. But it looks like once you season the assembled smoker you will be ready to smoke for a party. ( you can invite anyone on the board). Oh Yeah if you have access to a digi camera you can record any assembly and the seasoning and the first smoke with pics posted as you go and you will gain many friends on the board and even help someone else. Good Luck but I think you will be fine.
