what kind of thermometer is the best i wold like a good one but not too expensive with two probes.

Hands down. the Maverick ET-73... 40 bux most places. Has a probe for the chamber and a probe for the meat. Excellent!
I like the wireless all year ... when it's warm out, I can choose a spot in or out of the sun and in the winter, I can sit at my computer and keep an eye on things easier.
Had not occured to me about the weather angle...heh. I been runnin' a Taylor wired, but my next one I'm gonna try wireless.
