I have prime rib (the kind you get from Kansa City Meats by mail), weighs about 3-4 lbs that I want to try to smoke...what is the best way to do it?
Should I follow the rules for doing a pork shoulder? I want to slice down for some samiches...any info would be a great help!! Thanks

If you do some digging Ultramag posted a prime rib smoke some time back that was excellent. I licked my monitor screen for an hour.

When I do them, I go high heat (350 or so) until 120 degrees in the center. Let it rest for 20 minutes or so then slice. Temp will rise between 5 to 10 degrees while resting so make sure to account for that when you figure what degree of doneness you are looking for.

Thanks everyone...I think I'm pointed in the right direction! If mine turnes out like Ultramag's pics...I'll be in Prime rib heaven!!!
