Hi all! My name is Frank and live in South Jersey. Got a Brinkman HD vertical 2 weeks ago and smoked my first pulled pork. Had fair results for not knowing what I was doing. My wife liked it so she bought me a Char-Griller super Pro w/SFB. I guess this weekend I'll try some ribs and a couple fattys. You all share awsome info on this site and I hope I can learn and share my experiances good and bad for everyone also. I was living in Inverness Fl. for 5 years and got a taste of good Q from Croft BBQ (a weekend roadside joint), so I want to learn to make it my self.

Welcome to smf! I like how your wife works. One good smoke and she buys you more toys. I need to find a girlfriend like that.

Welcome Frank, enjoy your new toys.

Welcome aboard! Spend my summers on the Joisey shore (since I was born). Lots of great folks here willing, ready, and able to pass on there wisdom on smoking...

Welcome aboard. Good to have you. We are about as far away as it is possible to get, but I know we will be sharing some good information and good pics.

You will be glad you joined.

Welcome Frank, glad you joined us!

I lived in south NJ for 20 years or so, last place being Woodbury. Loved it there, but alas, the commute to Delaware for my job was killing me.

If you have nothing to do this weekend, go to the Diamond State BBQ Championship at Dover Downs in Dover Delaware... there are a few of us that are going to check it out...

Have fun!

Welcome to the SMF, I was born and raised in Neptune New Jersey and escaped in 1966, I still have two brothers there in Howell and Wall

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Went to the butcher today and got some spare ribs and sausage for my first smoke on the new Char-Griller. Gonna fire it up tomorrow. I already seasoned it the other day. I will let you all know how it went and post some pics.
