Smoking takes lots of patience . Just be patient, share your knowledge, welcome others, & make friends with others in the SMF family. Don't aim for knighthood into the OTBS, just be friendly & share lots with others on the site, include us in your adventures on the smoker ( Q-view ).

Suddenly someone will recognize that you are worthy of nomination. When I was nominated it surprised the heck out out of me. When I first joined the SMF I felt like Mr. Knowitall, as I shared & learned on the SMF I began to feel less & less worthy. All I was doing is being friendly passing on what I was learning from the SMF family & from my own adventures & suddenly I was nominated

John pretty much summed it up. Patience and friendly attitude. Bring us some pics to drool over and just keep showing up. Some day someone will notice that you aren't Knighted into the Order and nominate you.

Personally I don't care if someone has bold blue letters or a fancy OTBS badge in their signature. There are many people here, new and old timers alike, that can smoke circles around me. I just do what I do and learn from those around me.

Hang tight and keep smokin

the only advancement i wanted from the site........was it to show up in my q.........and it has........and i STILL have lots to learn.........awards, badges, certificates, plaques.........doesn't put good q on the table.....but knowledge from this site will...........the rest will follow
