Okay, here is my roll call post! Sorry I over looked this requirement

. I was so eager to ask questions I failed to realize this step in the process.

My name is Tim and I live in Charleston, SC. It is finally beginning to cool off here. Thank God!

I am an avid griller (3 to 4 time a week) but I purchased my first upright propane smoker from Lowes a couple of weeks ago and it looks kind of like the one in the picture attached.

The one I purchased has a larger wood chip box and 4 racks; among various additional options. I have used it once to date but plan on using it again this weekend (9/22/07). I cannot wait!

I also enjoy making sawdust in my garage.

I have two youngens and am looking to starting them off right on the road to understanding. The road to understanding how to run a table saw, grill and now smoker and do it effectively.

Thanks for having me and I look forward to all of the great advice! I have many, many questions.

Welcome to the SMF. Looks you got yourself a GOSM, congrats. Plenty of GOSM users here, be sure and checkout Jeff's 5 day ecourse for good basic reading & review.

welcome to smf. it is not a requirement, but helps everyone to know what equipment you are using, to know your name and where you live. maybe also your preferences to food (ie: at my house we prefer beef).

Cool! I call myself a closet woodworker as my skills are still very green. I will admit, however, I would rather be building something in the 100 degree garage in the heat of summer than be inside where it is comfortable. My wife calls me crazy! But she most always enjoys the benefits of course.
