...Looks wonderful!!...Wish the 'Scratch & Sniff' function worked here in the forums!!...

Seriously though...I can never get pics to do anything other than place a thumbnail that has to be clicked on in the post...NEVER the full sized pic!!...

I always resize down to 640 x 480 resolution or smaller and then save as a .png file so it won't use up so much bandwidth...even when using a hosting service.

So the
icon_question.gif
is...how do you upload a full size pic in the post that won't turn into a thumbnail when using the 'Manage Attachments' function!!...

Until later...

Tell you what I do
I first upload to a photobucket account
Then go to photobucket and right click on the 3rd lower link below the pic you want to copy in photobucket and then left click on copy
then go to this box I'm typing on right now and right click then click paste
You can then space out your pics by hitting the return button once or twice to add text to them

Hi!...

This is basically what I've been having to do to get full size pics into a post...either imageshack or photobucket...but there is a way somehow to upload directly from the computer straight to SMF rather than having to use an image host.

Whenever I upload directly (using the manage attachments function) all I get is a thumbnail that must be clicked...rather than the full size pic.

Others here seem to be able to upload directly, though most seem to use an image host

Guess there's something I'm missing along the way...

i added an album of some of my "best of" cooks on our new gallery here on the site. just click gallery up there onthe header, add your album & pics, then(right click) copy the direct link under 1 of your pics, click the little post card icon @ the top of your post -back out the http:// thats there & (right click) paste that into the line. on my comp i have a popup blocker that i have to "allow scripted windows" for it to work. here's jeff's instructions if mine are too vague. http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/for...1635#post81635

Thanks Gypsy!...

...That helps!...I think Jeff has probably changed the code already so the posts will only show thumbnails...at least that's what I gather from his post (the link you sent).

Thanks for the help!...

no it's just usual new microsoft issues. still fulla bugs & workarounds. plus this windows defender security thing is junk(can't upload unverified publisher add ons-like active x)even though microsoft subbed out those jobs, they haven't caught up to the verification yet... and the list goes on- but it's a new comp so i can't go back to xp.
