I'm trying my first fatty today, rolled green peppers, onions and cheese inside. Do I need to place this on foil? It seems it may fall apart if I don't.

Thx!

Leave it on the foil for the first hour. It will firm up and then you can roll it onto the grate so it can pick up smoke on all sides.

Hope this helps!

Take care, have fun, and do good!

Some do and some dont. I've done several and I haven't had to use foil yet. For me, it just depends on how fragile it is. Will it tear or fall apart when I pick it up to place on the rack? But then, I have formed the stuffed fatty on foil, then rolled it on the rack. When cooked, fatties are firm enough to pick up. But then again, just look, and if you need a solid carrier, roll the cooked fatty onto a cutting board or plate. Hope this helps some.
