Smokin' In The RAIN

The rain continues! Ya'll might think I was kidding about towing the boat with me everywhere I go, just in case.
Had two slabs of spareribs that needed a good smoking, so I fired up during a short break in the rain this morning.
I painted one with Worcestershire sauce and then applied a heavy coat of rub, the other got a heavy coat of rub. Used two different rubs to see how they are. The one that got just rub was half Willingham's rub and half KC Squeal Rub, mixed together well. The other got KC BBQ Seasoning. The darker slab got the Worcestershire & rub. Wrapped both and put them in the "Refreshment Center" in the garage overnight.
Here is some before pic-O-graphy. Will post some after when they come off.

"AFTER" Pics - These are some of the best ribs I have smoked (he said, reaching back over his shoulder to pat himself on the back). Had this been a competition they would have been money winners. Smoked them 6 hours with lump charcoal, hickory & apple. Sprayed them every 2 hours with a heavy coating of real apple cider, the kind that has pulp settle out after it sits a while. Sprayed them immediately before removing from the smoker. The cider really added a lot. Texture of the meat was perfect. Excellent flavor. I amazed myself. Made some of my beans and some macaroni salad. Good eats! PDT_Armataz_01_34.gificon_redface.gif

So you got fishin' poles or water skis in that boat? I really hope it stops raining out there for you, being as I'm downstream of you. Plus all the levee breaks on the Missouri, I'm thinking of building an Ark.

Well, the third boat is further up the driveway with a sign on it. It's for sale and needs to move quick so I stop taking heat from little Janie for having three boats. And the gas grill does burgers, etc., because it is quick & handy for those times when there is no time.

domn8 ion - Fishin' poles only, we don do no stinking skis.

oh now i really feel sorry for ya..... my 78' commercial trawler is rusting & for sale cause the shrimp imports and fuel prices retired me, now we got a baby this summer instead of a sport boat.... i really do feel for ya w/ the floods- i grew up in hurricane alley- it gets blown & swept away- i just had to be cocky - i did read another post - flood zone i think he may need a boat. but i will be happy to tow your smoker, the travel trailer,& 1 boat to higher ( my house) ground. yer welcome to borrow @ any time or pay me to kill ya a biggun.. lol
