Beadvised that making Buckboard Bacon is not a one day project. You will need to let the meat cure anywhere from 14 days to 21 days depending on the weight of the meat (Follow the package directions) before you put it into the smoker.
Yes sir I did that the package says at least 10 days I waited 11 days and I decided to smoke it today here are some pictures how does it look, I think it turned out great even tasted good thank you very much you all have been great.
I used hickory and apple mostly hickory, I put it in the smoker for 1 hour at about 160 degrees then turned it up to 200 degrees for the remainder of the time until internal temp. was reached total time 3 1/2 hours, my newly built smoker held the temp perfect the whole time. And the bacon was good oh yea I forgot to tell you I had to eat your share plus eggs sorry. :cry:
