My wife picked up a once used Brinkman smoker last year. Its electric and I've used it a few times and have been very pleased. You can see I'm a novice. But I do enjoy the taste of smoked trout. I've used cherry wood for it. The guy that gives me the trout was really glad to get it back smoked. He ate most of it at work the day I gave it to him.

By the way, how do I set a signature so I don't need to sign each post?

Jerry, welcome to SMF!  Glad you're here and sharing the smoked love.  I have no problem resisting Lay's potato chips, but one bite of smoked anything, and watch out, just like your friend.

Enjoy the forum!

We are moving to a new forum platform on Monday so hopefully the signature will carry over just fine.. they are telling me that it will.

Thanks for the welcomes, and thanks Jeff. I added my signature. I still have not looked around the site much, but it looks like it'll be very worthwhile.
