Hi, I'm totally new to this smokin' craze. My son is so into it he cooks several times a week on his. So for my 60th Birthday this past Wednesday he showed up with a Masterbuilt 30 digital and all the accessories. He said mom I know how much you love to cook so I know you will love this!:yahoo:
Well everything I cook over Charcoal I tend to burn:devil: so we will see!
I think I'm driving the neighbor's nuts right now because even know I have 2acs and live at the end of a dead end rd. My entire backyard smells like a mesquite BBQ right now! I have two racks of ribs and two huge chicken breasts on there right now. My son and his wife are coming for dinner at 5:00 so hopefully I won't have egg on my face. I've been on here reading all I could since yesterday. Fingers crossed we don't have to go out and eat.
I'm looking forward to learning from you experts on here.

Lowrider04, welcome to SMF!  Glad you're here and enjoying the new smoker.  I tell everyone who has any cooking experience, a smoker is just a smoky oven.  If you can use the oven, you can use a smoker.

Enjoy the forum!  And

The ribs turned out great!!! My son said they tasted just like his...the two chicken breast were a little dry so my lesson was that they need to be added later in the cooking sequence.maybe only 2 hours. I just ordered a few more gadgets on Amazon this morning. I think this is going to be fun!:sausage:

Oh yeah, the smoke bug has bitten you hard.  We're all just as happily bitten.  Our two grown daughters are visiting this weekend. I've got ribs in the smoker myself.  They actually started squealing with delight when I changed plans this early this morning from Flat Iron steaks to spare ribs.

Have a GREAT weekend!

Thanks Ray! We sure do have some beautiful weather this weekend here. Hubby and I are heading to Ruth's Chris at 4:00 for our 36 anniversary dinner. I hope I get a yummy steak that melts in my mouth....we use to go to the one in OC but we sold our beach house last sept. When we bought our new home here. Too much trying to keep up with both. Now we have plenty of time to play! Have a great dinner with your girls.

Good afternoon and welcome to the forum from a sunny and  kinda hot day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web.   Lots of great people with tons of information on just about everything.
