Hello,
After a bunch of research. A lot of my information has been found in this forum. So hey from PA. I grill.... A LOT. My grilling background is extensive. Not like I'm in competitions every week. I have entered a few and my best was 2nd place. I have avoided smoking because when I have the time to smoke, I don't want to get hit out for a call and end up ruining the meat I'm smoking. So my interest has peaked and I am looking for a smoker. The electric ones seem to be the one I am looking for, but I still want to ask the question in case I'm wrong. Detail is not Spanish for woman. ;)
My smoker criteria
1) The ability to babysit.
2) The ability to also leave it alone. Could be up to 3,4 8 hours if I get hit out for a call.
3) Idiot proof. This will be my first one. Not too many bells and whistles.
4) Relatively easy cleaning but don't want a million pieces neither.
5) Stainless if at all possible.
6) Reputable enough I can still order parts for.
7) Beginner meat suggestions would be great. I get I'm going to blow stuff up. I'm guessing like a pork shoulder.
8) Budget: $700
GOAL: Living in the country gives you some amazing options for local meat. So I'd like to also be able to smoke. My goal is I would like to smoke a Prime Rib for Christmas dinner this year.
aaaaannnnndddd GO!!
lol
