I am planning on smoking turkey legs for Thanksgiving this year.  My son tried one at the fair recently and he liked it.  I am planning on doing a cure to get that ham like flavor.  One thing my wife commented on about the legs at the fair were how greasy they were.  They were dripping with a lot of grease and getting all over our hands.  Is there any way to reduce or eliminate this when it comes to smoking these?  Thanks

As for being greasy, I don't have that problem.  My bet is that the ones you ate were either deep fried for some odd reason (well because everything at a fair is fried) or they were warmed up and not left to rest. 

Due to the fact that they have the skin on them and are juicy you will get some liquid but if you cook to 165F internal temp and let them rest for 5-10 min you shouldn't have any excessive greese.

All I can say is.. today I was at the store . I saw 2 turkey legs smoked in a package.. they were $9.50 for the 2 legs. I love those for bean soup but.... man.. that is very expensive.. also spareribs were $1.99 lb . The st Louis cut were $2.49 and bby back ribs were $2.99 lb [emoji]128556[/emoji]

also, what's the best way to reheat these things?  I may have to smoke them 2-3 days before due to work schedule.  thanks

I microwave usually.  When the skin was a little tough I have warmed up on the propane grill.  Both ways work with no issues :)
