Hi All,

I have been using a Weber Smokey Mountain for years and I am ready to try my hand in the pellet game.   After tons of research it was between Rec Tec 680 or the Yoder YS640 but ultimately I landed on the Rec Tec.  It is currently listed on Rec Tec’s website for $998.   I am also interested in a few add-ons (cover, interior large 2[sup]nd[/sup] shelve, fold down front storage shelve).   The shipping or tax isn’t listed (I live in NY) and to get that info I need to check out on their website.  Does anyone know what they usually charge for shipping?  Does anyone know if Rec Tec every has any sales (holiday, Black Friday, etc.)?   I’d hate to buy today and then have a sale pop up later.

Any input would be appreciated!

Thanks!

I've never seen Rec Tec put their grills on sale as far as shipping and tax goes, select what you want and put it in the cart, start the checkout process, fill in your shipping info it will give you your additional costs, after you have your additional costs go back to your cart and delete your order. It will not ask for CC info until after you get your shipping and tax info, the RT 680 would cost me an additional $129 if I were to order today, I'm in FL.

Because the smoker market is only a fraction of the grill market, it is rare to find smokers on sale.  That said, smoker floor models often go on sale at the end of the season, which is right now for those poor souls who believe Labor Day signifies the end of outdoor cooking.  Find the dealers in your area and see what they have on the floor.  You just might catch a deal.
