This is Komadofan, I have been grilling for many years and smoking for the last 10 years. I have normal arsenal of qrills. I use Weber for grilling normal fare, hamburgers, chicken, pork and fish. I bought a Smokey Mountain Big Block propane smoker a few years back after they went out of business. This is what I learned to smoke on. I can smoke dinner for 2 or 20 on that thing, lots of trial and error. I then found an Oklahoma Joe on Craigs list for $100.00 in Modesto. I live in Vacaville which is half way between SF and Sac. This was best 5 hr. drive in a while. I have learned to smoke on this unit as well. Really turns out great pork butt, ribs and brisket. However, I have looked at Komado cookers for the last couple of years. Finally bought a Vision Grill Komado cooker from Sam's Club the other day after they dropped the price by $200 to $399. This is what I am planning on using as my primary grill and smoker. I have used it once and grilled steaks on it. They were the absolute best steaks I have cooked. They were 1 1/2 in. sirloin that had an incredible crust and we're still medium rare and juicy at 500°. I am planning on doing some over night brisket smokes on this.
