My name is Jim, I live in Northern California near Lake Tahoe. I'm currently cooking on a Green Egg. I am looking into getting a Lang 108 deluxe chargrill. Love BBQ'n, cooked for many events, NRA dinners 350-500 people, weddings etc. a good friend introduced me to this site, and here we be!

Hey Jim. Glad you are posting. You will love the Lang.

Jim,

Welcome to SMF.   There's a lot of mountains in Cali.  What major town are you near?   Need to know this for when I'm up near your way, I can suddenly drop by to test one of your BBQ meals.

Portola Ca. I live 2 miles from Brian Mudd who helped me cook 120-150 lbs of pork butt yesterday for a friend who drowned in a local lake at 48 years old.

I'm also going to be opening a restaurant in the spring in Graeagle California 96103.

Portola?   That is a heck of a ways up there in way NorCal.  Maybe some day when the wife and I are passing through in our  VW camper, we'll drop by your new restaurant.

Yup we are in the sticks away from the flatlanders. This area is well known for camping and has some great RV parks and tons of lakes. Come on up.

Also I am thinking of getting a gathering going. Ill post about it in the NorCal Group.

A NorCal gathering would be fun, especially if it was up in the mountains. Any excuse to go camping.
