Howdee howdee.... I did something I do real often tonight and surprized some folks who had never seen it before. I first saw this at DFW (airport), was a little fast food thingie doing it. They had the biggest baked potatoes I ever saw. Then copious amounts of butter then topped with one of their BBQ, brisket, pork, ribs, ham, etc..... They had a topping bar with additional types of sauces and cheese, sour cream, etc.  Grab a cold drink and you had good food and were back on the concourse in 10 mins.

Now I do it at home when I just got too much else to do or just want something good easy.

Baked potato with butter, topped with BBQ pulled pork, a large salad, and a hot buttered roll.

It'll fill you up, and make you smile.

If you have not tried it, now it is your own fault!

Man that looks delicious bet it would be even better on one them there sweet taters.

I actually thought the other night about smoking butts, and baking 1000 taters. You could build 'em and re-roll 'em in foil carry 'em to Houston and pass out to those working. That would be so much easier that going there, setting up a kitchen and cooking jambalaya which is what is standard. Sell 'em at the ball park, easier that selling BBQ you could take them back to your seat.

Thank you sir.  It just goes together.... like peas & carrots!

The Salt Lick Barbecue in terminal A next to gate 17. Is it sad that I know this?
Awesome meal my very good chum. B

That was back when I coming from NM to far points on the map. Drive to Lubbock, Lubbock to a real Airport like Dallas or Houston. American was Dallas, and SW (Hobby) or Continental (Intercon) was Houston. Back in the good old days. Little or no security, lots and lots of bars.

It rained for three days, couple a twisters again here real close but I am bullet proof and invincible! I live pretty much right on the cusp of the danger area. We do a lot of staging areas here for rescue workers. 10 miles down the road is usually where the damage and flooding starts. I live in a house thats been here for 150+ years, she's a pain but she's tuff. I have a 25KW generator. It handles all the house load, the Central AC, the garage, air compressor, the elevator on the house, etc all with no load problem. Oh AND the house sets up on 5" piers. Plus my house sets on the highest ground anywhere around. My neighbors hate me cause all my water drain onto them....LOL  I tell 'em 10 /20 yards of good dirt will fix that.....

South Louisiana we are used to the water. Houston on the other hand decided that Harvey wasn't a big enough storm to worry about. They had an evacuation notice two days before it hit telling them of tthe water to come and they didn't believe it. We had one of those after Kithrina I don't remember storm names anymore it just sat on south Louisiana for like a week raining. NO one is ready for that.

Just too many folks on the rock these days. So they build in places they know better than to build on. Then expect the government to protect them. The past 30/40 years corporate America worried more about profit than taxes which fund protection and revitalization projects.

Seriously think of what Harvey will cost now and how long if ever it will take for Houston to re-coop. Sure would have been cheaper to do those drainage, utility, transportation, preparedness projects.

I agree completely. People build everywhere and anywhere and wonder why they have a problem.

Daughter-in-law and grand kids have been here for a week, they live in Katy, my son has been in New Jersey (Tower Crane Operator) he is headed back down here tomorrow,

All that rain down there and I need to water the grass

Sounds so good, Kevin!

Disco
Thanks Disco but like I said before, I can't take the credit.

I sure thought it a good idea though. It could be the next McDonald's or Burger King...LOL

I could see a them stretching across the US.......  add a wet bar, laundry-mat, and a newsstand together in a small strip mall, right off every major college campus.
