Good Morning,

I am located in Dallas, TX, relocated from the small village of Sumerduck, VA. For christmas a few years ago my wife surprised me with an electric smoker and I had no idea what i was doing. Being fairly handy I self taught myself and came out with some pretty tasty recipes. I quickly fell in love with the smoker and was smoking meats every weekend. Sadly, the electronics crapped out on me and it was frustrating that I was unable to fix the problem. I like being able to work and fix things of mine and not just throw them in the trash so I have just purchased the Masterbuilt Dual Fuel Smoker. I have not seasoned this yet and realize there are probably a few modifications that I will need to do in order for this to work the way I will want it to, but excited to try out the propane smoker. I also have a Charbroil gas/charcoal grill I use on a fairly regular basis. I have smoked just about everything, Ribs and whole chickens probably come out the best. First salmon I did had to throw in the garbage, but have produced some pretty good ones since. Gonna be attempting the Brisket once I get a handle on the newly purchased smoker. I have played around with different rubs and have created my own and love it. Wanting to attempt in making my own sauce as well. Just enjoy playing with fire and eating good food while spending time outdoors. Will eventually share once more confident in my ways and hope to get some more tips and ideas from y'all.
