Just picked up an Oklahoma Joe's Highland. After doing a little research, I also ordered a tuning plate and some gaskets for the doors.

I've never used a wood fired smoker, only an electric Little Chief smoker years ago. So, I have a lot to learn, and I'm hoping I find some great info on this forum.

Good to have you on SMF!

 you may want to consider a couple of other accessories for stick burning

 fire extinguisher

insulated gloves

fire poker, stove shovel etc.

There are a host of other things you will find you have a need for but those will get you started!

have any questions feel free to ask away there is lots of people with info and experience on here related to outdoor cooking!
