Kicking off the start of football season by smoking a brisket in my new master built 30 inch smoker. Used it twice and love it. However reading reviews on the smoker people are saying the heating element is pretty to stop working within 6 months. Is this really true? This was an expensive smoker.

Hmm.. wonder if it's your model or older ones?
Anyway.. good luck [emoji]127808[/emoji] plenty to read up on here.

Good morning and welcome to the forum from a pretty nice day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about everything.

Welcome to the forum!

Some folks have had bad luck with their MES's, but mine is several years old.

It sits outside, with a cover on it, but the heat & humidity still get to it, and it's still working fine.
