I'm really liking my Akorn. Followed advice shared here, thanks. I was able to hold 265 temp the entire smoke. Thanks everyone.
I love beets so decided to try smoking some. Rubbed with olive oil and a sprinkle of kosher salt and garlic powder. Ended up finishing them on my Weber covered with butter and honey in the pan.
I built a nice volcano with Apple chunks mixed in. Used 1 Weber wax block to light it. I let it get to 190 and adjusted the vents. Nailed It!
The chicken was brined over night and sprinkled with some seasoning.
Pulled it at 170, I'm a bit over causiuos when doing chicken. Just me.
It came out darn good.
Pictures are out of order but they tell the story.
Happy smoking.
