Whats up everyone,  found this site today and it seems to be a really good forum.

Little about me. Born and raised in down state NY. Joined the military at 23 and have been moving around a lot.  Currently I am living in El Paso TX.  I do not know if it is me being from the area I am from in NY or my mother being a vegetarian I did not know what BBQ really was.  My idea was throwing some steaks on a grill and burning them up that way.  After joining the military I got introduced to smoking meat.

I just picked up a $17 smoker from Walmart to get me introduced to it with the knowledge that I will be upgrading to something much nicer once I can convince the wife that this is something we need to be able to do at home.

With that being said can not wait to see where this adventure takes me and looking forward to learning as much as possible from this site.

Good morning and welcome to the forum from a pretty nice and not to hot day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web.

Lots of great people with tons of information on just about everything.
