I live in San Diego and there are some BBQ restaurants that are very average. Without naming them my wife and I agree that we make the best food at home. I have a knockoff of the Big Green Egg called Globe Cafe. It's a lot of fun to use but the family complains there's too much smoke flavor that kills yhe meat!! I will admit that there are times that it s a fine line so I am looking forward to exploring methods here.

Good afternoon and welcome to the forum from a pretty nice day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web.

Lots of great people with tons of information on just about everything.
