Hello everyone, new member here. As my forum name suggests, I live in Wisconsin, but am and always will be a proud Yooper by birth (and by da grace of God!).

I've been enjoying reading all of the great information being shared on this forum, and am looking forward to learning from you all. I'll get the acronyms down soon but, for now, will start by just saying that my own smoking experience has been limited to using a cheap/thin metal "bullet" style smoker. While I've enjoyed generally acceptable (translated edible) results using this setup, nothing I've done so far really comes anywhere near to what I know is possible. As a step up, I just picked up an Oklahoma Joe's Highland RF from our local Fleet Farm store. After I do a few of the mods I've been reading about here, I think this one should give me everything I need for learning and hopefully improving.

I'm excited to be getting started, and am looking forward to participating as a member here. I only hope that some of the knowledge and great results I see from you all can rub off on me!

Good afternoon and welcome to the forum from a pretty nice day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web.

Lots of great people with tons of information on just about everything.
