My name is Tony and I'm from Muncie Indiana. I'm married with 2 great daughters.

Been smoking meat in an old Mr Meat electric smoker for a couple years now. My wife inherited it when her grandmother passed away. Her family decided that since I loved to grill I would get more out of it. It sat unused for at least 30 years. As that was when her husband passed. It worked great but was extremely small and not user friendly.

I was surprised this past week when my wife's parents pulled up with a Louisiana Grill Champion series pellet smoker. This thing is HUGE! 3 separate smokers. They said they got it at a great price at Costco because it was a floor model and were wanting it gone as the season was over for the store.

Glad I found this forum to help me learn from others so I don't have to reinvent the wheel.

Tony, welcome to SMF!  Glad you are here with the old and new smokers.  I had to look up the LGC.  Man, that's quite a score!  I find it amazing that it is July 24th and Costco is saying their season is over.  Worked in your favor though!  They must be getting ready for Christmas.

Enjoy the forum and no need to reinvent the wheel.  We've already done it MANY times.
