The PM I got said to say something about myself, so, here goes.  I live in North Georgia and have a Masterbuilt 30" electric smoker.  I've smoked a few things but am always looking for the advise of experienced smokers.  My first attempt was a couple of whole chickens that turned out dry and bland.  My guess is it was a cross between my lack of time on the smoker and that they were yankee chickens. LOL.  The small Boston Butt turned out much better.

Thanks, in advance for any tips and I hope our northern friends have a sense of humor.

Lots of great people with tons of information on just about everything.
