So as the weekend gets near. I thought I would be a nice neighbor and do a pork butt for the family who lives next door. They are a family of 4 children and the parents. I've been driving them crazy with me smoking things the last couple years. I didn't get any finished pics of it as I got in a rush to give it to them for their dinner. Later on when he seen me. They loved it. But I do have some before pics. The ABT'S came out great. Made them in my Bradley smoker while the butts were cooking in the MES.
So here we go. Hope all enjoy.
This was the one for my neighbor.
Also the pic in the smoker. The top one is theirs.
The ABT'S
My butt
All shredded and ready for the bun.
Dinner plated.
Boy was it good. Total time for the smoke for the first butt was 18 hrs and I didn't foil it.
Mine took over 20hrs. At 181 I foiled it and took it to the 200 mark. No loss in bark. Nice crust on it. Only drawback. I wish the MES30 was bigger. My PB sat just over the drip pan and the other one sat 2nd shelf from top to fit them both in.
